Ria Fimalasari. The Influence of Self-Image and Self-Esteem on Student Social Acceptance at STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang Banten, Department of Dharmacarya, Sriwijaya State Buddhist College, Tangerang Banten. Supervised by Dr. Li. Edi Ramawijaya Putra, M.Pd. and Jatayu Jiwanda DL., M. Hum. Self-image is a description that an individual has of good or bad feelings about his body parts and an assessment of the physical appearance of his entire body based on his own perception which can be influenced by several aspects and can be shaped according to the wishes of the individual. The problem raised in this study is whether the influence of self-image and self-esteem affects student social acceptance. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-image and self-esteem on social acceptance at STABN Sriwijaya. This research was conducted using a quantitative non-experimental design method, namely ex post facto. The sampling technique used is stratified random sampling. The respondents of this study were all students who were still active at STABN Sriwijaya with a total of 140 students. Data was collected using a
questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis uses multiple regression which must be the same as the requirements test analysis. The results of the normality prerequisite test using the residue with Kolmogorov Smirnov showed 1.002 with a significance of 0.380 which was greater than 0.05; then the data is normally distributed. The linearity test results obtained an F value of 0.675 with a significant 0.804 effect of X1 on Y and an F value of 0.699 with a significant 0.799 effect of X2 on Y, the independent variable in this study has a linear relationship to the variable. The results of the multicollinearity test with the VIF values of the X1 and X2 variables showed the number 1.530 was smaller than 10 so that there was no multicollinearity in the regression. The results of the heteroscedasticity test obtained 2 correlation values of the independent variable X1 with a significance of 0.319 and the X2 variable of 0.457 greater than 0.05; then there is no heteroscedasticity in the regression. The results of the autocorrelation test with a DW value of 1.365 are located at dU 1.7521 and (4-dU) = 2.2479, so there is no autocorrelation. Based on the prerequisite test, that the data has met therequirements to perform data analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results of research data analysis using SPSS version 15.0 for evaluation windows show the effect of self-image and self-esteem on student social acceptance at STABN Sriwjijaya Tangerang with an F value of 7.074 and a significance value of 0.000. The results of multiple linear regression equation test obtained Y=11.650+0.632X1+0.754X2. The contribution given by the variables of self-image and self-esteem to social acceptance is 52.5%. The results of the partial regression analysis are: (1) there is an effect of self-image on social acceptance if the self-
esteem variable is controlled with a t-value of 3.702 and a significance value of 0.000; (2) there is an effect of self-esteem on social acceptance if the self-image variable is controlled by a t-value of 4.050, a significance value of 0.000.
