ABSTRACT
Problem raised in this study is the Teacher Activities in Buddhist Sunday
Schools’s Students at Cetiya Kusala Cetana. The purpose of this study is to
describe the problems faced in carrying out Buddhist Sunday School students to
develop, as well as to form Sunday school teachers to be broad-minded, critical,
creative, innovative and dynamic so that later they become a better generation.
This research was conducted in three stages, namely: planning, data collection,
analysis and reporting. The planning stage in this research includes the submission
of the title, preparation, and proposal seminar. Data collections were coducted
through interviews and documentation at Cetiya Kusala Cetana, as well as
researcher data analysis by writing the research results, discussion and making
conclusion.
The results show that: (1) the implementation of Buddhist Sunday School
activities for teachers or supervisors has been partially participated by the teachers
in Buddhist Sunday School coaching activities. (2) the form of activities carried
out is to connect the religious study in the nature conducted regularly every
Sunday. (3) the method used by the teacher in teaching Sunday school is
expository and also still not varied in the application of the method at any
circumtances. (4) the strategy used by the teachers is to give awards in the form of
prizes to students with the aim of growing students’ enthusiasm in participating in
schools’ activities. (5) The teachers still have not implemented the curriculum
that has been issued by the Directorate General of Buddhist Community Guidance.(6) the teacher’s role in teaching is still not confident when delivering materials.
