ABSTRACT

The effectiveness of distance learning in Buddhist Education Subjects is the background of this study problem. According to students from Atisa Dipamkara Junior High School. There were three stages to this study: planning, retrieval and analysis, and reporting. The submission of the title, preparation, and thesis proposal seminar are all part of the research planning stage. At Atisa Dipamkara Junior High School, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as research data analysis. In this study, reporting is done by writing the research findings and continuing with the thesis trial.
This research employs descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. The findings of qualitative research place a greater emphasis on meaning than on generalizations. Participatory observation was employed as the method. The material was gathered through direct observation and interviews with Buddhist Education teachers, school principals, and representatives from the eighth grade students at Atisa Dipamkara Junior High School. Researchers used the data validity technique to demonstrate that this research was actually scientific and conducted appropriately, using credibility (internal validity), transferability (external validity), dependability (reliability), and confirmability (objectivity).
The findings revealed that: 1) the efficacy of Buddhist Education was extremely different between offline and distance learning; and 2) the effectiveness of Buddhist Education was very different between offline and distance learning. 2) The goal of distance learning (online) is to reduce Covid-19 dissemination, break the chain of Covid-19 spread, and allow students to continue their studies during the pandemic. 3) Attitude, lack of connection of children with parents, and youngsters lying to parents about homework are all restricting issues in implementing distance learning (online). 4) Online instructional training, LMS (learning management system), and study groups are examples of supporting components. 5) School and instructor efforts to improve the effectiveness of distance learning, such as providing standard operating procedures for adopting distance learning, partnering with Google, and giving lesson resumes to students.
